Costs and Conditions

The cost of a ten-day seminar is USD 5,800.

This includes the following:

Daily instruction by Writer in Residence, including lectures, workshops, and personalized feedback.
Participation in a small seminar of writers (no more than 12).
Study packet/Materials
Lodging in a single room, single-occupancy, with access to all hotel amenities such as gardens, pool, and wireless network.
Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
All seminar social events, including welcome dinner.
1-day excursion to the city of San Gimignano.
Transfer to and from airport Amerigo Vespucci in Florence (FLR) to seminar site in Castellina in Chianti.
Travel insurance for the duration of the workshop.
Certificate of completion signed by Writer in Residence.

Not included in the seminar price is:

Travel to and from Florence, Italy.
Spending money for personal expenses, souvenirs, snacks, and other personal needs.
Note that this is not a college course, or for college credit.

Payment and Conditions:

Payment in full of USD 5,800 must be made (with check or credit card) within 30 days of acceptance to the seminar in order to secure your place.
Participants who notify Minerva Education of their withdrawal from the seminar within 30 days of payment will be refunded in full, less a $350 processing fee.
Participants who notify Minerva Education of their withdrawal from the seminar after 30 days of payment will be refunded in full, less a $1500 processing fee.
In the case the seminar does not have enough applicants we reserve the right to cancel all arrangements. If so, this will be done no later than December 20th. All payments made will be refunded in full.
No refunds will be given after January 15th.

Tax Benefits:

Many states allow participants to deduct expenses related to professional development. Please check with your tax professional to find out if your participation in a Minerva Education Workshop is tax deductible. We will be happy to issue a detailed invoice for your tax records (upon request).
